DetailsFAWN will be held at Foscue Park on April 27th & 28th. All 6th grade students in Marengo County are invited to attend. We are expecting over 400 students.
Our FAWN for 2016 is scheduled for April 26-28. It will be held at the Upper State Game Sanctuary in Jackson. We have around 450-500 sixth graders attend in the three day event.
All District Board Meetings are held the last Tuesday of each month in the Pike County USDA Service Center conference room located at 22 Henderson Highway, Troy, Alabama 36079.
The Butler County Conservation District holds its monthly board meetings the 2nd Thursday of each month.
The Butler County Forestry Planning Committee will host a Small Ruminant Workshop at the Butler County EMA Office on June 30, 2016.

DetailsApproximately 310 Monroe County 5th grade students and chaperones attended the FAWN (Forestry Awareness Week Now) Field Trip on October 12-13, 2016. During their visit, students stopped at 7 different stations throughout the day to learn about the contributions forests make to the environmental quality and economy of Alabama and to promote healthy and productive rural and urban forests, clean water and abundant wildlife.
